Hi, I found out that living in a dorm is required for freshman year unless you submit the exemption form. The room fee is around $9000 per year and I was wondering whether it’s fairly cheaper than living off the campus. Also if you are able to live off the campus, does the board fee (around $4000) is automatically excluded?
    Thank you for the information!

Hey Jenny! I don’t know much information about the exemption form. The best way to find out if you can live off campus is calling University of Alabama’s office. In my opinion, I don’t think that it would be cheaper to live off-campus because the room fee is including all the utilities (electricity, water, trash, etc.) and other expenses (internet, cable, etc.) I also think that you should live on campus because it will become unforgettable memories. I don’t know the answers to your questions, but the best way to find out is to call UA’s office!

To get the full tuition scholarships, you would need to score 1490 on the SAT. So, I would recommend you to study hard for the SAT. If you don’t meet that goal, there are other universities that will offer full tuition scholarships to students with lower scores.

Hello. I am from the Philippines. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2014, and I have been teaching until this time. I also already started my Master’s Degree. However, applying for a scholarship here would be a dream come true for me, especially if I would get the chance to be awarded fully-funded scholarship. How can I get that chance?

Hi, I would look for scholarships in Asia because US universities would not give full scholarships for SAT score of 1080.
