“Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow, Strengthening the Leaders of Today.” This quote is a motto for the Rotary Peace Fellowship, a fully-funded program awarded to 50 students in master’s and 50 in certificate programs every year. Its goal is to promote peace around the world and impact the world in a positive way. The fellowship is over 10 years old and has produced over a thousand alumni now working in various organizations promoting peace, solving conflicts, and impacting the world.
Rotary Peace Fellow studies in “peace centers” or universities around the world that are designated to train Rotary Peace Fellows. They study with the most intelligent people in the world, some having worked with a Nobel Laureate.

Two Types of Programs
- Master Degree- 50 students annually are awarded to study master degree for two years in one of the peace centers.
- Professional Development Certificate- 50 students annually are awarded for 3 months of intensive field study with experts in one of the peace centers.

Eligibility
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent Leadership Skills
- For master’s program, a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of full-time related work experience
- For master’s program, proficiency in more than one language is strongly recommended
- For certificate program, strong academic background and 5 years of full-time related work experience

How to apply for Rotary Peace Fellowship
- Review the application and apply by 31 May at Official Scholarship Page.
- Contact a Rotary district for endorsement, which includes an interview. District endorsement is due to Rotary International by 1 July
- Once selected, master’s fellowship recipients apply separately for university admission.
