This university is a public university located in the city of Liverpool, England. University of Liverpool was founded as a college in 1881 and continues to grow up till date. Now, there are 25,000 students studying there including 20,000 undergraduate students and 5,000 graduate students.
These students currently study in three faculties (Health and life sciences, Humanities and Social sciences, and Science and Engineering) and 35 departments and schools. These various facilities offer more than 230 courses across 103 subjects.
The University of Liverpool has the fifth largest endowment of any university in England and boasts of state-of-the-art research facilities. It is endowed with a whooping sum of £166.5 million and has a budget of about £521.8 million. The large part of the budget is from the various research grants from government organizations and companies. In 2006 the university became the first in the UK to establish an independent university in China, making it the world’s first Sino-British university, showing their interest in international students.
Also, the University of Liverpool has about 7,700 international students on campus with over 10,000 online students from over 160 countries highlighting the fact that there is no national barrier to studying in the famous university. The admission process of University of Liverpool for international students is almost the same as for domestic students. Undergraduate students can apply through the UCAS which is the common application used in the UK. Many universities use the same application for both domestic students and international students. University of Liverpool Scholarships (Graduate)
Unlike undergraduate students, there are many opportunities to receive scholarships for graduate students. These are only for Postgraduate Research students, and that includes both the master’s and PhD students who pursue research.
