York University Scholarships

International students are now eligible for York University Scholarships! This Canadian university was founded in 1963 and quickly became one of the best universities in Canada. Since 1617, there have been multiple attempts to found this university, but all the plans came through because of some odd reason or another. Then in 1963, Oliver Sheldon helped establish the York University.

History of little over 50 years is not long for such a prestigious university. However, due to the excellent funding and high-quality teaching of its professors, the York University grew quickly. Currently, there are more than 13,000 undergraduates and 4,000 graduate students studying in more than thirty departments. These students study in 500-acre main campus and other campuses.

The main campus is located in the city of York, specifically in the west of a city called Heslington. This is the original campus which was founded in 1963. As the student enrollment grew and more departments were formed, they needed a new campus. So in 2009, they built a new campus east of the city of Heslington. This east campus hosts many different departments and students as well. Not only the West and the East Campuses, they also have King’s Manor in the City of York for an additional campus. So, students attending this excellent University can study at many different campuses. You should also note that many of these students receive York University Scholarships so that they could afford the high tuition.

The university has to have a huge income to fund their many departments and campuses. So, they have multiple sources of income such as tuition fees and research grants. In 2017, they have earned 66 million euros out of 331.4 million euros as a research grant from the Canadian government and other organizations. This shows that York University is great at research and is willing to invest more in research. Part of this investment is York University Scholarships to fund fabulous minds to research at this university. So, do you want to study in such a fabulous university? If yes, keep reading!
