Students wishing to study in Canada can now receive the University of Alberta Scholarships! Located in Edmonton, the university was established in 1908 by Rutherford and Tory. Rutherford was the first premier of Alberta, and Tory was the university’s first president.
It started with a class of only 45 students, but over a hundred years later, it became a huge institution with over 31,000 undergraduate students and 7,000 graduate students. Since its founding, the University of Alberta has produced over 260,000 alumni.
The famous alumni include Prime Ministers, Governors, Chief Justices, businessmen, lawyers, doctors, scientists, and engineers. There are many other alumni that have been successful in other fields. The success of its alumni is important for three things.
First, it proves that the education of the University of Alberta is one of the top education provided at a Canadian University. Second, students can know that they will have a good chance that they will be successful after education. Third, students can be helped by those alumni in job seeking and in their workplaces.
Many of these alumni have received the University of Alberta Scholarships because they could not afford the tuition fee. You can also receive these scholarships if you are unable to attend and have good academic credentials. So, don’t let the high ticket price hinder you from having the best education possible.
So, if you ever attend the University of Alberta, you can study at many different campuses. The North campus in Edmonton has 150 buildings and 230 acres of land. Just 2km below the North campus, there is a South campus which has many sports and research buildings. Students can travel between these two campuses by train.
Also, located 5 kilometers east of the campus, there is another campus called Campus Saint-Jean. This campus only speaks French to accommodate French-speaking people. Since there are many students that want to study at this campus, it is constantly undergoing expansion programs.
The fourth campus is about 100 kilometers southeast of the main campus. This campus is called Augustana and is located in a small town called Camrose. Students at this campus study various fields such as science, arts, or music.
The fifth campus is the Enterprise Square in downtown Edmonton and is home to the Business School and Design Gallery.
No matter what campuses who chose to study in, you will be eligible for University of Alberta Scholarships. Students with economic difficulties should always apply for scholarships so that they will be able to attend. Also, it would be a good idea to apply to many Canadian universities for scholarships in case you will be rejected by some.
