OFID Scholarships are one of the top scholarships for international students since it offers great scholarships to students from developing countries. A great number of funds have been given to international students, and this scholarship is geared towards graduate programs.
More specifically, OFID scholarship helps international students to study for a master’s degree, and the scholarship covers the fee for your specific master’s program. Since there is a limit on the number of international students that can receive the award, be sure to apply before the deadline is over!

By looking at the title above, you should have some questions for OFID scholarships for international students. Since I had some of the same questions, I’ll try to answer them for you.
What is OPEC?
OPEC stands for Organization for Petroleum Exporting Countries, and this organization controls most of our oil and gas supply since a majority of our oil comes from the Middle East. Members of the OPEC are Algeria, Angola, Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Sadly, members of the OFID countries are excluded from the scholarship. That means that nationals from Algeria, Ecuador, Gabon, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela are ineligible to apply for this scholarship. Students from developing countries are eligible to apply, and the list of developing countries are not listed, but you can check it out on the link below.
Also, you need to be studying one of the core values of the OFID such as economic development (poverty reduction, energy, and sustainable development), environment, science or technology.
You need to be of age between 23 and 32 at the time of application, and you need to receive your letter of acceptance when you apply for this scholarship. For more detailed information, please visit this link.
Application opens at the beginning of the year, so be sure to check the link above for more information. Before you apply, make sure you fit the eligibility requirements before filling out your application.
What Do the OFID Scholarships Cover?
OFID Scholarships for internationals pay for the one round trip between your home country and the country that your college is in. Also, the full tuition fee and any supplementary fee is covered, and you also received a health insurance, moving fees, and a living stipend to cover the cost of staying in that country.
In other words, it is a full ride scholarship with additional benefits attached to it, and it is the best form of full ride scholarship!
Since this is a scholarship for people of less developed countries, OFID scholarships for prospective internationals are a great offer for people who cannot afford to study abroad. The application starts in January, so be sure to apply before the deadline is over!
