Times ranks it between 501-600 in the world and 352nd in the US with an overall score of 52.5, and US News ranks it as 140th in National Universities and 373rd in the world, according to Best Global Universities Rankings (with a global score of 51.5).
With the acceptance rate of 74%, LSU is considered to be lightly selective. 80% of students who apply are in the top half of their high school class. 50 percent of LSU admitted freshmen have the ACT composite score between 23-28 and SAT total score between 1100-1270. Although the ACT & SAT Writing Scores are not required for admission to LSU if you are thinking about applying to the Ogden Honors College and top scholarships, you should complete the writing section. The application fee for LSU is $50 ($65 after April 15).
