Established in 1886, Yeshiva University is a private university located in New York. It is set in an urban, 300-acre campus. Yeshiva University’s undergraduate student body comprises 2,700 students, 66% of whom are out-of-state, and 5% of whom are international students. In their first year, undergraduate students are required to live on campus. Students have the option of living in segregated housing for males and females. Other on-campus services include a health clinic and personal and psychological counseling. Yeshiva University is renowned for the research opportunities it offers at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Graduate students aspiring to pursue law will be pleased to know that Yeshiva University offers a law school as well. In addition, the university features a multitude of Judaism-related graduate programs at its Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies and the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration. The latter offers master’s level degrees in a variety of subjects, including Jewish Philosophy and Medieval Jewish History.

Yeshiva University has an acceptance rate of 80%. In the previous admissions cycle, 1200 students were selected from a cohort of 1500 applicants. The application fee is $65. The average high school GPA for freshmen is 3.50. For the SAT, the mean score lies in the range of 540-680 for Reading and Writing, and 550-680 for Math. The average ACT score, on the other hand, lies in the range of 24-29. For both in-state and out-of-state students, the tuition fee is $40,000 a year.
