Established in 2001, the university was first named the University College of Technology and Management Malaysia. It was later granted university status in 2007 and adopted its current name. Statistics show that most graduates (about 98%) from MSU are guaranteed a job within six months of completion.

2. Limkokwing University of Creative Technology

As the name suggests, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology is aimed at nurturing innovative minds. This Malaysian institution was established in 1991 as Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology and adopted its present name in 2010. Limkokwing has since grown its reputation in Asia, Africa, and Europe and now hosts over 150 nationalities. It has campuses spread across at least eleven countries. 3. Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology

Tunku Abdul Rahman University (TAR UMT) has several campuses across Malaysia, with its main campus located in Kuala Lumpur. It was established in 1969 as Tunku Abdul Rahman College with the sole purpose of generating human resources for businesses and industries in Malaysia.

4. Universiti Tenaga Nasional

Founded in 1976, the Universiti Tenaga Nasional, or UNITEN was among the first private universities in the country. Until 1997, the institution was referred to as Institut Latihan Sultan Ahmad Shah (ILSAS).

Some of the courses offered at UNITEN include accounting and finance, business management, humanities, and engineering. In 1995, Terengganu University College was established before being renamed Malaysia Science and Technology University College. It became a full-fledged university in 2007 and changed its name to Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.

6. Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah

8. IMU University

Located in Kuala Lumpur, the IMU University, formerly known as the International Medical University specializes in English language and health science programs. This Malaysian university is IHH Healthcare’s subsidiary, a health group whose majority shareholder is Khazanah Nasional. The institution was established in 1992 and has since become an active teaching and research center in the field of medicine and healthcare.

9. Universiti Utara Malaysia
