The qualified students are given a tuition remission scholarship ranging from $500 to $4,500 per term depending upon the academic performance of the student. The scholarship is renewable for 6 terms in case of transfer students and for 12 terms in case of new students.

 

5. Fulbright Matching Grant

This grant is provided to the international undergraduate students who enroll in a degree program at the Portland State University. The students are given this scholarship on the basis of their research contributions. The students in this program are given an annual scholarship of $4,500 in terms of fee waiver. The scholarship is renewable every year until the degree is completed. The students are automatically considered at the time of admission and no separate application is needed.

 

Portland State University Graduate Scholarships

1. International Student Retention Scholarship

This program also provides Portland State University scholarships to the graduate students. This funding is provided by the Oregon state. This need based scholarship is only available to the deserving and needy graduate students at the Portland State University. The graduate students must have completed at least 1 term at the Portland State University to be considered eligible. The qualified graduate students receive a tuition fee waiver of $1,500 each term for the maximum of three terms. The students are required to maintain a CGPA of 3.00 or above to keep receiving this scholarship.

 

2. Graduate Employment

The Portland State University provides on-campus and off-campus employment to its graduate students in collaboration with more than 500 companies. The students get a chance to learn new skills, develop professional attitude and prepare themselves for the challenges of the upcoming professional life. 3. Graduate Assistantship
