1. National Technical University of Athens

Located in Athens, the National Technical University of Athens is a public research university with a long history. It was established in 1837 and is regarded as one of the oldest higher education institutes present in Greece. As of now, the university comprises of nine schools, eight of which are dedicated to engineering. The university is known worldwide for its engineering programs, especially mechanical engineering and architectural engineering. Until 1950, it was the only engineering degree offering university present in Greece. The university is best known for its school of medicine and school of theology. It is ranked as the top university present in Greece.

3. Athens University of Economics and Business

Athens University of Economics and Business is the top public business university present in Athens. It is regarded as the principal business school present in Greece.  It was established in 1920. Since its foundation, the university has played a great role in providing world-class economists and leaders to the country. It is divided into three schools; school of business, school of economics and school of informatics. It offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs with majors in business and economics subjects. Most of the programs are offered in Greek, but some programs are also taught in English for international students.

Since its foundation, the Agricultural University has played a major role in the agricultural development of the country.  The university comprises of two schools that offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in crop science, aquaculture, food science and biotechnology.

7. Technological Educational Institute of Athens

It is a higher education institute present in Athens. The university was founded in 1983. It comprises of five schools. These schools offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of engineering, food science, nursing, oncology, and fine arts.  It is famous worldwide for its program in electrical and electronic engineering. Students from different countries of the world come to join this university. The tuition fee at the institute is very little and a student can easily afford it.
