Can You Study in Canada Without IELTS?
To study in Canada, there are two main ways to prove your English proficiency, and they are IELTS and TOEFL. If you don’t want to take the IELTS, then take TOEFL, which is short for Test of English as a Foreign Language.
Also, for some institutions, they sometimes accept other forms of English Proficiency such as CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment), LPI (Language Proficiency Index), and MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery).
Even though there are other English language proficiency requirements among the Canadian universities that accept IELTS 6.5, we will be focusing on our main method of standardized testing, which is the IELTS.

If you want to study in Canada, the minimum IELTS requirement is 6.5, so in short, you can pass the English proficiency requirement for most Canadian institutions with this IELTS score.
To emphasize an important point, most universities will have a minimum requirement for individual sections of IELTS such as Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening, so please check not only the overall score but also the individual sectional scores for IELTS.
