As an international student, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies offers you a chance to apply for a scholarship to cater for some of the expenses. To qualify for this HUFS scholarship for international students, you must be a foreign student (You’ll need to provide the necessary documents).
In total, 27 students benefit from this program every year with 15 of them taking Master’s course while the rest are PhD students. If you are studying a Master’s program in the humanities and social sciences division, then you will enjoy a 50% waiver on all fees for the first four months. An engineering student and anyone taking PhD courses qualifies for 100% waiver through their first four months at the school.
It is worth noting that even after being accepted to the program, the financial aid can be canceled if your academic performance drops. You are required to maintain a GPA of over 3.5 every semester.
2. Entrance Exam Excellence Scholarship

This is another scholarship offered by HUFS and only eight international graduate students are selected every admission period. Since this is a performance-based financial aid, those with the highest grades are prioritized. Once you qualify, you will be offered a 50% waiver on your total fee.
