1. Automatic Entrance Scholarships

As the name suggests, it was put in place by the Graduate Students Association under the initiative of the McMaster Student Opportunity Fund. This scholarship can be granted to both part-time and full-time students across all faculties. It is awarded annually to a lucky student selected by the Graduate Students Association.

However, it is also worth noting that international students can never be fully covered when it comes to tuition, no matter what scholarship they have. This scholarship is no exception, but it will still take off a decent portion of the tuition fee.

2. Dr. Richard Splane Ph.D. Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to a single student that is in his second to sixth year of the Ph.D. program in social work. To qualify for this scholarship, the student needs to be doing his thesis research on the subject of social welfare policy. He also needs to demonstrate high leadership abilities and shows promise that he can have a positive impact on social welfare policies in the future. While this particular scholarship is reserved for social welfare students, there are many similar scholarships available for other subjects.
