Meanwhile, the QS Top Universities ranks POSTECH at 77th place. Despite this higher rank, POSTECH is only listed as the 6th-best university in South Korea. This time, it trails the following schools: KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, SKKU, and Yonsei University.

As for the Academic Rankings of World Universities, POSTECH ranks lower as it is only listed in the 301-400 bracket. Although this is the case, it soars high in certain specialties. These include Engineering (76-100), Chemistry (101-150), and Computer Science (151-200).

POSTECH Acceptance Rate

As one of the best universities in Korea, admission to POSTECH can be quite competitive. It is said that it only accepts 300 undergraduate applicants per intake. Despite this limitation, it has an estimated acceptance rate (19%). This is notably higher than most prestigious Korean universities.

Those who are accepted at POSTECH enjoy this privilege mainly due to their academic achievements, essays, and letters of recommendation.
