The College of William and Mary is the second oldest college in the United States, and the first to become a university. It was chartered in 1693 and funded by King William III and Queen Mary II of England. Today, the school is a cutting-edge research university located in Williamsburg, VA. The school’s main campus is 1200 acres and showcases the oldest university building in use in the US. There is a second campus at Gloucester Point, which covers 42 acres. W&M offers an expansive library with more than 2 million volumes and films. The campus is also home to the Muscarelle Museum of Art.

The College of William and Mary Foundation has Endowment assets totaling nearly $1 billion. Most of this money covers student housing and land, but or also provides College of William and Mary scholarships and improves affordability for in-state scholars.

Notable alumni include four US presidents, numerous professional athletes, and accomplished scientists. This influential and accredited college has had Nobel Prize-winning research and Pulitzer Prize-winning works published by graduates. This is all made possible by the excellent opportunities offered at W&M.
