1. University of Helsinki

The University of Helsinki (UH) is the largest academic institution in Finland. Established in 1640, it is also the oldest. It is known to be one of the top 1% universities in the world.

This prestigious university is a free mathematics school with programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate levels. Math is a broad discipline, so UH offers many specializations to choose from. You will also benefit from small tutoring groups, workshops, and collaborative research activities. The medium of instruction is Finnish for the Bachelor’s program and English for the Master’s and Doctorate programs.

2. University of Crete

The University of Crete is one of the most reputable institutions in Greece. 3. University of Bergen

The University of Bergen (UiB) is among the free mathematics schools that offer no tuition and is one of the oldest universities in Norway. It operates on two campuses located in Nygårdshøyden and Årstadvollen, and welcomes over 18,000 students every year. 4. University of Primorska

Studying at UP is research-intensive, especially in the Mathematics programs. In fact, UP is the leader in international research in algebraic graph theory. Courses are taught in both Slovene and English language.

Tuition is free at UP for students from EU countries and countries with which Slovenia has a bilateral agreement, namely Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia. However, you can only qualify for free tuition if you study full-time.

5. University of Opole
