Griffith University is a public university located in Australia. It was founded in 1971 with only 451 students but currently has over 50,000 students on five campuses. This university was named after Sir Samuel Griffith who was instrumental in Australia’s history. He wrote the Australian Constitution, became the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, and became the Premier of Queensland twice in his lifetime

Griffith University Scholarships (Graduate)

1. Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarships (GUPRS) 

The Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarships or GUPRS are available for the masters and doctoral students at the university. Students who don’t receive income from another source for their living expenses greater than 75% of the GURPS stipend are eligible to apply. The application period for this scholarship starts on July 1st.

Students must apply online to the programs of their choice. In the online application, there will be a GUPRS scholarship section. Once accepted, the scholarship may cover up to two years for the masters and three years for doctoral programs.

2. Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (GUIPRS) 

Prospective international master’s or doctoral students who do not receive tuition scholarships from any external source are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications starts usually around the first week of July.

Students must apply online to the programs of their choice. In the online application, there will be a GUIPRS scholarship section. Like the GUPRS, this scholarship may cover up to 2 years for students in the master’s program and 5 years for Ph.D. programs. Additionally, the scholarship may extend up to 6 months for doctoral candidates depending on their circumstances.

3. Australian Government Research Training Program International Fee Offset Scholarship (RTS) 

Prospective international master’s or doctoral students who do not receive tuition scholarships from any external source may apply for this scholarship. Applications usually start around July 3 to October 3.

Students must apply online to the programs of their choice. In the online application, there will be an RTP scholarship section. Successful applicants in the master’s programs may receive scholarship coverage for up to 2 years. Meanwhile, those in the Ph.D. programs can get up to 4 years of tuition support.
