Do you want to study in Korea, but you don’t speak Korean? If so, you can study in English programs provided by Korean universities. Several Korean universities offer the majority of the courses in English, and some even offer 100% English track programs!

For aspiring students, take a look at the list of universities where courses are taught in English.

English-Taught Programs in Korean Universities

1. Yonsei University – Underwood International College

Yonsei University has a separate international college for undergraduate students named Underwood International College. There are 16 majors and 409 courses at this college. All of these courses are taught in English by prestigious professors, so there is absolutely no need to learn Korean. Also, the great thing is that Yonsei University is part of the “Ivy Leagues of Korea,” and the university is well-known to all Koreans and many citizens from the neighboring countries. If you want to study in Korea in English, we highly suggest enrolling in one of the courses Underwood International College offers.

2. Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)

KAIST is one of the most prestigious universities in Korea. It is known for its STEM programs, which are one of the best in Asia. At one point, every course, except languages, was taught in English. With the new President, that “rule” was no longer in place. However, a large percentage of courses are taught in English, and the majority of the STEM subjects are taught in English.

3. Handong Global University

This university offers four majors that are conducted in English. Those majors are Economics, Global Management, US International Law, Global Convergence Studies, and Information Technology. Also, around 30% of the major courses are taught in English. So, if you are not familiar with Korean, you can take many courses in English at Handong Global University.

If you don’t plan on learning Korean, we recommend these three Korean universities for their English-taught programs. Other universities do not offer the majority of classes in English, so you need to be proficient in Korean. But if you truly want to obtain an internationally recognized degree and would like to have access to different universities in Korea, we highly suggest learning Korean at different language schools.
