Admissions Requirements at Inha for International Students

International students looking to study at Inha University have to meet the eligibility requirements before applying to any undergraduate program. These include graduating high school or attaining a higher level of education than high school. They should also have at least TOPIK level three or at least level four from a Korean Language program from any Korean university. Selected programs in the School of Global Convergence Studies (SGCS) require English proficiency instead of Korean language proficiency.

The international admission at Inha University graduate studies accepts applicants with foreign citizenship and completed previous education up to university level, outside of South Korea. Applicants must prove eligibility through documents such as official certificates of each degree or graduation attained and school records or transcripts. International admission does not accept applicants with dual nationality, including those from the Republic of Korea.

Scholarship for Freshman SGCS Students is one of the best Inha University scholarships for international students and applies to students in SGCS and provides the scholarship amount depending on the IELTS or TOEFL scores and TOPIK score. Students may receive the highest possible scholarship amount if they have a TOPIK Level 3 or higher and IELTS 9 or TOEFL IBT 115 or higher. Students without TOPIK certification can still apply for the scholarship and receive up to a two-year full tuition fee waiver if they also have IELTS 9 or TOEFL IBT 115 or higher. International students who are native English speakers are not eligible to apply.

Graduate Scholarships

1. Jungseok International Scholarship

This Inha University scholarship for graduate international students depends on the applicants’ language proficiency, where those with TOPIK level five to six or IBT TOEFL 92 (TOEIC 820, IELTS 7) and above will receive the 70% entrance and tuition fees. The least amount of scholarship available is 30% for applicants with TOPIK level three or IBT TOEFL 71(TOEIC 700, IELTS 5.5) and above. The scholarship amount may also increase if awardees meet additional requirements or achieve a higher language level.

2. Global Vision Scholarship

The program awards 25 scholarships at Inha University to successful applicants for up to four semesters in the masters and doctoral studies and eight semesters for integrated studies. Recommendation from advisors during the application period determines the eligibility of applicants.

Moreover, incoming master students must be recommended by an advisor with at least three years of employment at Inha University to be eligible in the scholarship program. If the number of applicants exceeds 25, the graduate school will select awardees based on their language certificates. Unsuccessful applicants automatically qualify for the Jungseok International Scholarships.
