Oxford city in the state of Ohio is known as the home of one of the oldest public research universities in the US, the Miami University (also known as MU). The eligible students are automatically considered at the time of admission and no additional application is required. The students are given an annual scholarship which ranges from $1,000 to full tuition fee. The amount of scholarship depends on GPA, SAT score, and other factors. This scholarship is renewable for the next three years provided the student meets the academic criteria set by the university.

3. Presidential Fellowship Program

Being a part of Public Ivies, Miami University offers Presidential Fellowship Program to all the incoming undergraduate students. International students can also benefit from these programs. The students who apply for this fellowship program are selected on the basis of their essay responses. The selected students are invited to participate in a competition and the finalists are those who qualify in that competition. The qualified students enjoy the privilege of the entire tuition fee covered by the fellowship program for the next four years. In addition, this program also covers the room rent and other expenses of education and research. The students are also given a one-time stipend of $5,000.

4. YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship

Miami University provides this scholarship to two international undergraduate students every year. This scholarship is also for first-year students and transfer students cannot apply. The purpose of this scholarship is to promote intercultural exchange with students coming from various countries of the world. The students are selected on the basis of their academic performance as well as their participation in co-curricular activities at the university. It is not an automatic scholarship and a separate application is required to be submitted by the interested students. The selected students are given an annual scholarships sufficient enough to cover half of the tuition fee. This scholarship is also renewable.

5. Transfer Student Scholarship

This scholarship is for undergraduate transfer students at Miami University. The students are awarded this scholarship on the basis of their academic performance in the previous university. The students from US and non-US universities both are welcomed. Phi Theta Kappa membership is a plus point to get this scholarship. The non-Ohio residents are given an annual scholarship which ranges from $2,000 to $15,000. This scholarship is also renewable each year depending upon various factors mentioned by the university. Graduate Scholarships

1. Graduate Assistantship

The graduate assistantship program of Miami University provides an opportunity to the graduate students to work as faculty members at the university and earn a number of privileges. The graduate assistants at Miami University are assigned three different types of duties:

Instructional duties: They have to work 20 hours per week, for 17 weeks in fall and 16 weeks in the spring term

Research duties: The GA has to work 18 hours a week, for 17 weeks in fall, 3 weeks during the summer term, and 16 weeks in spring

Administrative duties: The graduate assistants with administrative duties have duty hours similar to those with research duties.

As a reward for their services, the graduate assistants are given a tuition fee waiver by the university which covers up to 90% of their tuition fee.
