Admissions Requirements at Northwestern University for International Students

Students applying to Northwestern have to fill out the Coalition application. Applicants will be required to submit their secondary school’s official transcript and school report. Two letters of recommendation are required, one of which should be from a counselor and one from a teacher. SAT or ACT scores are required as well but they are optional for the 2020-2022 cycle. Students who are not native speakers of English will have to demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting IELTS or TOEFL scores.

In most cases, candidates who are accepted at Northwestern, usually have achieved an overall B grade during their past schooling.
