The history of Malikussaleh University, UniMal, dates back to 1969 when it began as Sharia Academy. Since then, it has gone through many name changes before settling on the current one in 1980. 5. Udayana University

Being one of the best private university in the country, you would expect it to be very competitive, and that is why it has an admission rate of 30-40%. 8. Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology
If you are looking to specialize in scientific engineering, Sepuluh Nopember is your ideal Indonesian institution to learn and do your research in this field. Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, or ITS, was founded in 1957 as Sepuluh Nopember Technical College. At the time it had only two departments, but due to the inspiration and support of President Sukarno, the institution has grown to be one of the best in the country.
However, to make it to the institution, you will have to go past its highly selective admission criteria. Based on the last cycle, only 10-20% of all applicants were accepted to the institution. Nonetheless, it remains a university with some of the highest acceptance rates in Indonesia.
