7. Istanbul Technical University

Founded in 1773, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), is one of the oldest universities both in Asia and the world. It currently has over 35,000 students (22,000 undergraduates and 13,000 postgraduates) distributed across various faculties. It is also one of the universities in Turkey with a high acceptance rate. 8. Ege University

This public research university was founded in 1955 with only two faculties (Agriculture and Medicine). It became the first university in Izmir and the fourth-oldest nationally. 9. Gazi University

Found in 1926, Gazi University is a public institution located in Ankara, Turkey. With over 69,000 undergraduates and 10,000 postgraduates (80,000 students in total), it is one of the largest institutions in the country. It comprises of four schools, 21 faculties, and eleven vocational schools. 10. Ataturk University

  • Acceptance Rate – 54%

According to the statistics within the last five years, Ataturk University has the 10th highest acceptance rate in Turkey. The university was founded in 1957, and its growth is evident with the number of students currently enrolled in various schools (almost 100,000 students). It has 18 colleges, eight schools, and thirty research facilities. With a 54% acceptance rate, it is among the highest, at the same time one of the most competitive in the country.
