The University at Buffalo, famously known as SUNY Buffalo, was founded in 1846. It was initially a private medical college before merging with the State University of New York in 1962. SUNY Buffalo is regarded as a university with the highest research activity in the country. Due to its high level of teaching and research, it is part of the 62 members of the Association of American Universities. SUNY Buffalo is a moderately selective institution with an acceptance rate of about 57%. This is based on the most recent intake where 57 students were accepted from every group of 100 applicants. The chances of you being accepted at the university are high if you come from within the state. However, you will still need to meet the various requirements.

For starters, a GPA of 3.6 will put you ahead of your competitors. The university also demands that every applicant should submit their SAT or ACT scores. There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee used to facilitate the process.
