Starting with business first, Kim Woo-Jung (founder and CEO of Daewoo Group), Suh Kyung-bae (chairman of Taepyeongyang Corporation), and Chung Mong-hun (former chairman of Hyundai Group) are all graduates of Yonsei.

Perhaps the most notable alumni are Han Seung-soo, the former President of the United Nations General Assembly and Prime Minister of South Korea. Other notable alumni include Han Kang (a novelist and winner of the 2016 Man Booker International Prize), Sung-Mo Kang (President of KAIST), Marvin Chun (Dean of Yale College), and Chun Lee-kyung (four-time Olympic Gold Medalist).
